C-18 2006-2007 Memorandum of Understanding between the School District of Clay County and Episcopal Children's Services/HEADSTART (Revised)
Issue/Rationale
Establish working procedures between School District of Clay County and Episcopal Children's Services/HEADSTART to serve eligible preschool children under federal and state laws. Plans are being developed to provide consultation servies to HEADSTART for students with disabilities
Services are required under federal and state laws.
Recommended Action
Superintendent recommends approval of the Memorandum of Understanding as submitted.
Financial Impact
The contract provides that the district will earn FTE for the services provided and that HEADSTART will provide round-trip transportation. Consequently, most increases in services for these students will be covered by FTE. For 2006-2007 Clay is one of 19 districts being monitored and required to increase services to PreK entities such as HEADSTART.
